Welcome back to another blog, written on a Bank Holiday Monday. Despite summer not really being hot hot hot this year, at Ethical Clarity and Ethical Recruitment solutions, we are sure that this blog will hot things up!
Reece has Autism, he been a valued member of our workforce for over 2 years now after completing his Pathway 2 Employment Academy training. I did attempt to record a vlog, though I think I will have to physically write the interview. He wanted to have a quick interview anyway because he wanted to go out for a walk he is passionate about his long walks and how they help his well-being. That’s what we love, getting moving!
Reece is came to us from Breaking Barriers a wonderful charity that supports families of Autistic young people and came to us thanks to breaking barriers, a well-known charity that supports families and people affected by autism. Reace loves to pack the products such as our hand washes and soaps. When I asked what he likes actually doing at the pick and pack part, he says if he can, when he puts things into the packaging, he likes to make his own shapes out of it if he can, because it makes it more interesting. He also likes the supportive and kind environment in which he works.
I then asked him how his friends and family have found his confidence improving because he’s working, and he said that they love it. He acknowledges that it can be hard finding work out there if you have a disability, so because he’s with us, it makes him feel happy.
I then asked him how we can improve what we do or the things we offer? To this, he said that we could advertise our things more.
It was an amazing to talk to interview Reace, and we packed a lot into a mini yet mighty blog!
